Aarogya Setu to detect corona


Aarogya Setu is an Indian COVID-19 tracking mobile application developed by the National Informatics Centre and that comes under the government Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The purpose of this app is to spread awareness of COVID-19 and to connect essential COVID-19 - related health services to the people of India.
This app is an updated version of an earlier app called Corona Kavach (now discontinued) which was released earlier by the Government of India.
To create account
  • Download the app from google play store or App Store
  • Read understand why this app is useful and click Next.
  • You will redirect to the Registered New User page.
  • After clicking there you will redirect to terms of service & privacy.

  1. Where you are advised to open your location tracker.
  2. The app runs on Bluetooth so it is recommended to switch it on. 
  3. Message regarding security of your privacy.  
  4. In the left corner, you will get your language preferences. Where you can run The app in 12 languages.also, you can share the app with your friends and family, sharing section is given along with the language preferences sections.
  5.  Click on I AGREE.
  • Enter your mobile number📞. You will receive an OTP and will automatically be filled and a new account is ready to use.
This is simple and fast.

INSIDE THE APP

Along with the language preferences and sharing section(in the top right corner) an alert section with red colour added where you have to choose one out of two following options whenever required
1.Sample collected for testing
2.Tested positive for covid19 
Four categories

  3. Track pepole within certain area -Active Aarogya Setu users have taken a self-assessment test,Self-assessed as unwell,identified as at-risk via Bluetooth proximity,Diagnosed as COVID-19 Positive.With Bluetooth, it tries to determine the risk if one has been near (within six feet of) a COVID-19 - infected person, by scanning through a database of known cases across India.
  • Media (lets the user know the risk of being infected, doctors advise etc),
  • COVID-19 Update (gives updates on local and national COVID-19 cases) and
  • E-pass (If applied for E-pass, it will be available).
